We had a great time shooting Jess and Aaron’s wedding over the weekend. Volo Wine Bar in Logan Square is a great place, I only wish it were open when I used to live in the area. Any time I can find street parking in Chicago it’s a good day, so things started off on the right foot.
The day started off with some more Osprey photos, but I thought the volunteer work the marines did in Riis Park was great.

This is a busy week for me — between shooting all the Marine Week festivities, a few “normal” jobs and a wedding this weekend, there isn’t much time for anything else. The marines have been great to work with. They’re terribly polite, but it takes a little getting used to being called “sir” all the time.

Kelly is one of my favorite corporate clients (true!) — we have worked together quite a bit over the past 18 months or so, and I was really looking forward to this wedding — especially when the weather forecast started looking up. April can be a bit iffy around here, but we really lucked out with a low-70s overcast day.

A new workspace means some new equipment, and the necessity of making sure everything works correctly. I emailed this offer to a bunch of my 2009 wedding clients who I know live fairly close by — help me out by coming in for a free mini engagement session in the studio! If I didn’t email it to you, please don’t be offended, but of course the offer is open to all of my 2009 clients. Just send me an email and we can set up a time. Click “Read the whole entry” to see some recent work!
